Growing up, I never planned on becoming a teacher. Honestly, I never planned on moving out to California after growing up in Upstate, New York, either. But here I am, a physical education (PE) teacher in Atherton, California. Sports have impacted my life well beyond my career choice, and I am excited to share that passion with my students.

As a PE teacher, I currently work with grades K, 1, 3 and 4, in addition to being a 6th-grade advisor. I love spending my days outside and working with young kids, challenging them to be their best self. Throughout my childhood, PE affected me greatly, and it is a privilege to pass that on to my students.

Outside of my teaching responsibilities, I also am a middle school and high school coach. I am most passionate about lacrosse, but I also coach the following sports: middle school co-ed cross-country, middle school girls’ lacrosse, 5th and 6th grade girls’ basketball, 6th grade girls’ soccer, high school varsity girls’ golf and high school girls’ varsity lacrosse. It’s a whirlwind, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

But there’s more to me than just school…
I absolutely love my job, but there is a lot outside of my job that I am passionate about, too. First, I am absolutely blessed to have my twin sister out on the west coast with me. She is my biggest supporter, teammate and fan in the sport that I love most– lacrosse.

Outside of coaching lacrosse at the varsity high school level, I also still currently play at the professional level (WPLL Pride) and national level (US Women’s National Team). It requires a lot of time, but I love competing every chance I get.

Finally, when I’m not on the field or in the gym teaching, you’ll probably find me in my kitchen cooking. There is absolutely nothing that beats a home-cooked meal or trying out a new recipe.
