As this course develops, it is evident to me that I need to understand assessment more. It cannot, and should not, be merely something we give to our students (or athletes) at the end of a course or season. We should be challenging them daily and using that information to help guide us throughout the remainder of the year. With that information, we can better reach our goals as teachers and coaches, but also, help the student truly soak up the most understanding as possible.
